Over 2.5 weeks I had the opportunity to learn a variety of hydro-geochemical techniques and apply them in the field. During the first week I learned how to
Advanced Doppler Velocimeter (ADV)
Electrical Resistivity Surveys (ER)
Pressure, Temperature, and Conductivity Transducers (PTC)
Slug Tests
Pump Tests
Infiltration Tests (Guelph and Double Ring)
Titrations
Proper Groundwater Sampling
Water table maps
Borehole Logs
All of this knowledge was applied during our second week when we went to the Valles Caldera in New Mexico. Over the course of 8 days we traveled throughout the caldera collecting data that we processed that night. This data was then synthesized into a report on the hydrology of the area linked below.
